About

Having studied art at Goldsmith’s college in the early ‘80s, I embarked on a career as a chef – combining my creative passions. I currently teach at Tower Hamlets College and live and work in East London.
I work mainly in acrylic on canvas and am inspired and driven by London– it’s people, buildings and open spaces. My paintings also reflect time spent in the south of France and across Spain.
I enjoy the freedom of painting and try to work spontaneously – reacting to what I see on the canvas. The paint - its colour and texture - comes first.

I have also completed a number of commissions, including portraits.
